The 80-page book contains original photos, illustrations, and infographics. The information for each chapter was typeset into a manuscript grid. The book contains abstract images as well as repeated visual elements with the use of one Pantone color.
The approach was to make a book with illustrations/photographs showing the physical side of the Internet. The visuals of the cables, such as the old DSL dial-up, to fiber optic cables, allowed me to show the idea of connectivity.
Hierarchy and content were used to balance the negative space. Using a sans serif typeface for the text, and a lineale geometric font that ties the content of the book together.
